How do Mockya credits work?

Credits pay for exports, and nothing else. Editing, previewing and plain PNG stills are free. A video's price depends on its length and the settings you export with, and the exact number is shown beside the Export button before anything renders. A standard 20-second 1080p MP4 is 20 credits.

What are credits for?

Credits are how you pay for exports. Everything before the export is free: uploading a recording, choosing a device and an angle, backgrounds, text, trimming and the live preview. Saving a plain PNG still is free too, at any size and without a watermark.

You only spend credits when you export a video, or a still with a paid extra such as a transparent background. Every pack opens every feature, every device and every size. A bigger pack only makes each credit cheaper.

What does an export cost?

The price of a video is built from its length and the settings you export with. Each canvas pays for its resolution, frame rate and format, and extras are charged once per export, never per canvas.

What you chooseCredits
Length1 credit per 2 seconds, rounded up
Resolution, per canvas0.5× free, 1× +10, 2× (4K class) +40
Frame rateFree up to 30 fps, +6 above it
FormatMP4 free, WebM +4, GIF +8
Each extra canvasHalf the first canvas, rounded up
Transparent background+4 on a still, +10 on a GIF, once per export
Background from your recording+4, once per export

You don't need to work any of this out. The Export button shows the total for the export as it's set up, and the export dialog breaks it down line by line, so you see the price before anything renders.

What do typical exports cost?

ExportCreditsOn StarterOn CreatorOn Studio
20 s at 1×, one canvas, MP420$1.67$1.28$0.80
The same clip in four sizes50$4.17$3.20$2.00

So a standard clip is 20 credits, the same clip in four sizes is 50 and at 2× it is 50. A 0.5× draft is the cheapest way to check a cut before the final export.

When are credits spent?

Credits are spent when an export finishes, never while you edit. If you don't have enough for the export you've set up, Mockya tells you before it renders anything, so you can lower a setting or top up.

If an export fails, or you cancel it, it costs nothing. You never pay for a file you didn't get.

How do I get credits?

Every new account starts with 25 free credits, with no card needed. After that, credits come in packs you buy once:

  • Starter: $5 for 60 credits
  • Creator: $8 for 125 credits
  • Studio: $14 for 350 credits

Credits never expire and there is no subscription. The pricing page compares the packs in full.

Where can I see my balance?

Once you're signed in, open the account menu from your profile picture at the top right of any page or the studio. It shows your current balance and a link to buy more. The balance updates as soon as an export finishes.
