What is the service?
Mockya is a web application that frames screen recordings and images in device mockups and exports them as video and images. It runs in your browser: your files are processed on your own computer and are not uploaded to us. By using Mockya you agree to these terms. If you use it for a company, you agree on the company's behalf.
These terms are written in English. Where a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
Do I need an account?
Not to edit, preview or save plain PNG stills. You need an account to spend credits on an export. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. New accounts receive 25 free credits, one set per person.
How do credits and payment work?
- Credits are bought once, in packs, through our payment partner Polar, which acts as merchant of record.
- Credits never expire and have no cash value. They can't be transferred to another account or exchanged for money.
- The price of an export is shown beside the Export button before it renders. That exact amount is spent once the export finishes.
- If an export fails or you cancel it before it finishes, it costs nothing.
- If something else goes wrong with a purchase, email support@mockya.app and we'll put it right. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under the law where you live.
- We may change pack prices for future purchases. Credits you already hold keep their value in exports.
Who is responsible for my content?
You are. You keep every right to the recordings and images you use, and you confirm you have the right to use them. Because your files never reach our servers, we don't see, store or review them.
Can I use what I export?
Yes, for any lawful purpose, including commercial use and client work, with no attribution required. The licence page explains what this covers in plain language.
What belongs to Mockya?
The studio, its code, its design and its device artwork belong to Mockya. You may use the device frames as part of the things you export. You may not copy the artwork out of the studio, sell or distribute the frames on their own, or use Mockya to build a competing mockup library. Device names are trademarks of their makers, who have no affiliation with Mockya.
What isn't allowed?
- Framing content that is illegal, infringes someone's rights, or deceives people about who made it
- Attacking, overloading or reverse-engineering the service, or getting around how credits are charged
- Reselling access to Mockya, or automating it in ways that harm the service for others
We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.
What do you promise, and what don't you?
We work hard to keep Mockya fast, accurate and available, but it is provided as it is. Because it runs in your browser, results depend on your browser and computer. To the extent the law allows, Mockya isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that can't be excluded by law.
Can these terms change, and can I leave?
We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date at the top of this page, and account holders get an email about significant changes. You can stop using Mockya at any time and ask us to delete your account. Questions go to support@mockya.app.
