Privacy policy

Mockya never uploads your recordings. Your browser reads, edits and renders every file on your own computer, and nothing you drop into the studio is sent to us. We keep only what an account needs, your email address and your credit balance, and we don't sell data, run ad trackers or use your files for anything.

Last updated 1 November 2026.

Do my recordings leave my computer?

No. When you drop a recording, an image or a background into Mockya, your browser reads it from your disk and renders it with your own computer's graphics hardware. Exports are written by your browser and saved straight to your downloads. At no point is a file you work with sent to Mockya or to anyone else.

What does my browser keep?

To pick up where you left off, the studio saves a few things in your browser's own storage on your computer:

  • Your theme, light or dark, and your language
  • Your cookie choice, so the banner doesn't ask again
  • Your scene: the device, angle, background, text and export settings, plus any presets you save
  • A recording you upload from the homepage, held for a moment so the studio can open it, and deleted as soon as it does

This storage stays on your device. Clear your browser's site data for mockya.app and it's gone. We use no advertising cookies, and analytics cookies only if you allow them.

What do you keep when I make an account?

You need an account to spend credits on an export. For it we keep your email address, your credit balance, and a record of each purchase and each export's credit cost (its length, size and format, never its content), so your balance is correct and no export is charged twice. If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in.

Who handles payments?

Credit packs are sold through Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and processes your payment and any sales tax. Your card details go to Polar and its payment processors, never to Mockya. We receive a confirmation of the purchase, the pack and the email address it was made with.

What do your servers log?

Like any website, the servers that deliver mockya.app keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, browser versions and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use them to profile you.

Do you use analytics?

Only if you allow it. On your first visit, a banner asks whether we can use Google Analytics. If you choose Allow, it counts visits and shows us which pages people read, how they found Mockya and roughly which country they're in, so we know what to improve. It sets cookies whose names start with _ga to recognise a returning browser, and Google receives your IP address, your browser and device type and the pages you open.

We don't turn on Google's advertising features, and we never send Google your email address, your account or anything about your files. If you choose Decline, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all. You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page, and declining after allowing deletes the _ga cookies. How Google handles the data is described in Google's privacy policy.

Do you share or sell my data?

We never sell personal data. We share it only with the services that run Mockya for us, our hosting provider, our email provider, Polar for payments and, if you allow analytics, Google, and only as far as each one needs to do its job, or when the law requires it.

How do I see or delete my data?

Email support@mockya.app from the address on your account and we'll send you what we hold, correct it, or delete your account and everything tied to it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we honour them for everyone, wherever you are.

Will this policy change?

If what we collect changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top. Questions are welcome at support@mockya.app.
